Time fuckery. What happens to your characters when time slips forward and backward without regard for the clock on the wall? When the steady tick-tock progression of seconds gives way to something… other? Tell me your tales from the cave where time has no meaning, where your shadows come back from tomorrow night to warn you of an apocalypse, or maybe that you should just stay away from the baba ganoush at the wedding. Your stories this month should murder time and see what happens. Anything is permitted except the boring passage of hour after hour, day after day, world without end and all that.
Before we get to the submission guidelines, please know that the contest host will read the entries and only the top 15 to 20 stories, as chosen by the host, will be posted on our Patreon page next month for our patrons to vote on.
The winner will receive $0.03 per word, publication, and an Author Spotlight on our newsletter and Patreon page. The second place winner will receive $0.02 a word and the third place winner $0.01 per word. Both the first and second place winners will have the opportunity to host future contests for extra payment and incentives.
